Investment Counsellor
I spent my early childhood in Dubai and moved to Kenya with my family when I was 10, living there for four years before immigrating to Canada. Having attended a very proper British school up to that point, I experienced culture shock after arriving in BC, when the first day in my new school was “pyjama day”. Naturally, I had a feeling I was going to like my new home.
Though spending my childhood across three continents presented challenges, it gave me a fairly rare perspective on different cultures and ways of life. My experiences taught me how to quickly adapt to new situations, appreciate contrasting perspectives, and especially to recognize and appreciate the unique beauty of different parts of the world. In my adult life, I like building on this background through travel, regularly visiting a new country each year.
As the daughter of an accountant, I was always drawn to numbers, and, at a young age, I set my mind on following in my dad’s footsteps. While attending BCIT, however, I soon realized that I really liked the forward-looking nature of finance, so I decided to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst designation after completing my Business Administration degree.
Today, I’m an Investment Counsellor at Dixon Mitchell, looking after individual clients and families as I help them identify, assess, and fulfill their investment objectives. I am also the proud recipient of the 2022 WCM Emerging Leaders award and the 2022 Wealth Professional Rising Star award.
When I’m not working I spend my time reading, going to the gym, and exploring the world.
