Chief Compliance Officer
I was born and raised in Vancouver, though you might not know it by my interests. I don’t hike, bike, ski, or snowboard, and I don’t even own a yoga mat. Instead, my favourite pastimes lean toward the literary and cinematic, perhaps owing to my path of education. I was the first in my family to graduate university, attending Simon Fraser University and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in Anthropology.
I started as a Client Administrator at Dixon Mitchell in 2007 and subsequently worked my way up to Chief Compliance Officer. Against a rapidly evolving regulatory backdrop, I spend much of my work time analyzing securities bulletins, attending conferences, liaising with securities commissions, and implementing various training programs for DM’s professional and administrative staff.
Recently, I’ve taken the leap (literally!) to temper my bookish persona, going bungee jumping, hang gliding, parasailing, river rafting, and even skydiving. My other life goals include eating my way through The World’s 50 Best Restaurants (in progress) and visiting all six Disney resorts (four down, two to go!).
